My partner and I bought a copy of the Goodnight Book in Vancouver at the Western Front’s winter market as a gift for our niece. The story and images resonated with us and the multi-lingual environment that we often inhabit and that our niece will grown up in. It was flown over to the Czech Republic for Christmas and received a great reception from her parents- the three of them speak English, Czech, and Croatian at home and li’l niece will probably pick up French once she starts school in Belgium. We will most likely pick up more copies for the little dudes on my side of the family who speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. Thanks for letting us appreciate the many ways we say goodnight!
